Job Responsibilities
- Manage the month end close process, including reviewing all journal entries and preparing entries for complex transactions
- Review monthly budget variance reports; research and explain variances
- Support SOX internal accounting processes and controls
Requirements
- BS in Accounting/Finance/Business
- CPA with previous experience in Big 4 accounting firm strongly preferred
- Minimum of 7 years relevant accounting experience with a combination of public accounting and industry experience
- Prior experience in a small to mid-sized public company
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication and project management skills
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley, SEC reporting and compliance
- ERP system experience required, with implementation experience a plus
- Tenacious, highly motivated professional with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to work in an unstructured, high-growth environment and recommend process improvements
Success in this role will be achieved when the Accounting Manager
- Implements new ERP system that meets the current and future needs of the organization
- Documents and implements SOX controls and procedures
- Consistently provides documentation for month-end closing that is timely, accurate, and reliable
- Provides new process improvements and recommendations that are successfully implemented
