Role and Responsibilities

The Publisher Sales Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of new publisher accounts. This sales professional must identify, qualify, and acquire top publishers on social network sites - and negotiate the initial revenue sharing and net margin for the company. This individual will also manage the first 3-6 months of customers using the Offerpal platform. Offerpal Media is positioned for greater than 100% growth in 2009 and beyond - we are looking for the right sales people to take advantage of this tremendous revenue opportunity.

Additional responsibilities include

  1. Outbound calling to new prospects to acquire new Offerpal publisher accounts. Will work opportunity from initial contact through closure
  2. Full circle management of all aspects of the account for the first three to six months of the process
  3. Research new prospect targets on social network sites in order to win business away from competitors
  4. Document all customer interactions in the contact management system (salesforce.com)
  5. Forecast new account sales process

Success in this role will be achieved by the Publisher Sales Manager

  1. Achieving quota on a quarterly basis
  2. Entering all necessary customer data into the contact management system
  3. Converting a high percentage of targeted accounts
  4. Accurately forecasting progress against goals

Professional Experience and Personal Qualities

  • 3-5 years working in online advertising with social networking being preferred
  • 3-5 years working in an inside sales environment
  • Has worked in a performance based environment where achievement of quota is critical
  • Has experience working on a highly leveraged compensation plan
  • College degree preferred
  • Solid experience with Salesforce.com; excellent experience with MS Office applications
  • Basic understanding of technology to facilitate technical support
  • Must be able to manage multitask several position responsibilities while prioritizing effectively
  • Looking to move upward in a sales career
  • Good verbal communication skills and telephone skills
  • Emotional intelligence, a problem solver, and a grounded, mature person
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
