Role and Responsibilities

• Dig into the code and develop a solid understanding of the code base to develop good-quality test cases
• Develop a componentized test framework for White Box testing
• Interact with engineers and work in a team to find the root cause of bugs
• Develop scripts for API-level testing
• Help with other activities of the QA group such as build/release and black-box testing if needed.

Success in this role will be achieved by the White Box engineer

• Developing a keen understanding of the business

• Developing good quality test cases

Professional Experience and Personal Qualities

• 5 to 10+ years experience in software industry (QA and/or development) and 3+ years experience in QA
• True White Box testing experience a must.  Experience developing tests for back end as well as front end.
• Ability to develop good quality test cases. Ability to develop componentized test scripts and test frameworks.
• Ability to understand code written in Java and HTML/JavaScript to a certain level of depth. Software development experience a plus.
• White Box testing experience for Web services and large Web applications preferred.
• Experience using QA tools like JUnit, Bugzilla, Selenium, etc.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Well organized, with strong attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
